I was at the Apple store today and I had lost my phone. We logged in to IHound and the app did not locate my phone. We typed in a message and set it for the alarm to go off. Kept checking to see if someone had found it. I was there for 1 hour. About 3 hours later I found my phone and used it. It never locked or gave off an alarm. If someone had found the phone they could have used it without any problems. This app does not work.

Why when I send it a notification it doesn’t do anything? My account is active. I lost my ipod somewhere in my living room so I sent it a notification with the Yelp Siren and it didn’t make a sound. Why is that? Shouldn’t it work?

I have recently purchase a sidekick’08. However I have gotten it off of eBay. I was wondering if upon arrival of my device will I need to factory reset the device? Another question I have found no answer to, in any review or tips and tricks video, is as I know there have been updates to the sidekick device since 2008, when the device was put out, will those updates be available to the sidekick’08 via download? Are you still able to order shells through the sidekick shells website? I have yet to go to the website, but would like to see if any of you have an answer before I do so. Are there themes that can be downloaded for free? What is the average amount of messages that the sidekick inbox can hold? Is it true that the sidekick is only capable of holding a 4 gb SD card? If so then that is horrid. Can the sidekick’08 record video? I have heard that it can from some and then that it is not possible by others. If it can I know that it will not be of high quality much like the out come of the photos. Ah, and that leads me to another question, does the sidekick have zoom? Sorry for all of these questions, I would just like to be informed correctly about the device which I will soon have (: Thank you to those of you who answer any of my questions. <3

You are so right on this one! I too am sick of poor customer service. I am with Telus and believe me I have been complaining about the phones for a period of 10 years and always looking for a way out, but they catch you with deals every time! I don’t like their services and the $25.00 activation fee is a rip-off to all the people who use cell phones. I’m fed up!!! We, the public should all petition for this idiodocy of a company regarding the activation fee. I, for one would love to do it but I don’t know how to start it. Do you know how?

Pandora provides a “live” buffer for streaming music, but they do not cache music (storing multiple songs in a local mobile or internet radio client for later playback; even when you are not connected to the internet). Slacker buffers and also caches (with their subscription model). Pandora’s subscription model doesn’t offer caching, just ad free music.
